How do we keep things in sync when dozens of people in any given company are using the product at the same time?
We are building a new kind of customer service tool for modern companies. A beautiful, lightning-fast customer service tool that works out of the box, backed by the same API you can use directly.
We're building an intentionally small, autonomous and nimble team. Everyone on our team is technical and commits code. We plan and scope all our work together, with a different team member planning and running each cycle. We maintain a transparent company culture - everything from balance sheet and runway to sales pipeline gets shared with the whole team.
What you’ll do
- Define, build and ship features end to end: You’ll work on everything from flagship features to the smallest product improvements in close partnership with engineers, designers and our customers.
- Create a stellar developer experience. You'll help make sure the experience of building and integrating with Plain is second to none. You'll play a key role in everything from building UI libraries and developer tooling to writing documentation.
- Guide product direction: We believe that all engineering decisions are product decisions, and vice versa. You'll collaborate with everyone on the team to decide what we work on and why, and help build Plain to be the best product and business it can be.
- Help build a small team with outsized impact: We want to build an intentionally small company because we believe that small teams are more efficient than big teams. You'll play an integral role in shaping our our product, culture and ways of working to enable this.
